Visa exemption accepted by VN and Cambodia
VGP – According to a notice issued by the Government Office on July 4, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng approved the draft agreement between Việt Nam and Cambodia on visa exemption for ordinary passport holders.

The PM authorized leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to negotiate and sign the agreement with representatives of the Cambodian Government.

At the 4th Conference on Cooperation and Development among Border Provinces of Việt Nam and Cambodia held in Preak Sihanouk on February 28, 2008, the two sides agreed to open new border-gates and upgrade the existing ones, so as to facilitate the cross-border movement of people, goods and vehicles. They also pledged to negotiate and ink an agreement on visa exemption for ordinary passport holders. |
