The telecom group announced that in the first half of 2017, it earned VND 1 trillion (about US$ 41.2 million) of pre-tax revenue, up 155.7% against the same period last year. The revenue rose 25% against the same period last year to nearly VND 14 trillion. Especially, revenues increased 82% in Peru; 38% in Burundi; 29% in Timor Leste; and 15% in Haiti in comparison with the same period last year.

In addition, the group also received promising signals from other markets. Unitel, a brand name of Viettel in Laos set a new hallmark with 4 million customers and led the market. Telemor in Timor Leste was granted free-of-charge frequency to expand its network.

By late 2017, Viettel will accomplish building its network in Myanmar, the tenth foreign market and provide high-quality telecom services there./.
