Vietnamese workers abroad to keep their own passports

Under the direction on administrative reforms in managing the immigration of cadres, civil servants and citizens, all agencies will no longer keep the ordinary passports of their employees, both at home and abroad.

Ward-level police offices are required to swiftly and accurately confirm all citizens’ application for passports, without any trouble and fraud.

The Ministry of Public Security is entrusted to work with competent agencies in submitting to the PM the Plan on E-Passport within the third quarter of 2008.
