So far this year, Việt Nam has shipped 20,000 tons of shrimp products to the US, worth of US $200 million, up by 18% in quantity and 2% in value.

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) just agreed to apply administrative procedures for Việt Nam’s frozen shrimp and offered the anti-dumping tax rate of zero to some of Vietnamese seafood exporters, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Lương Lê Phương.

The DOC also concluded that four Vietnamese seafood exporters, namely QVD, Vĩnh Hoàn, Samefico, and Cadovimex II, had not dumped their tra fish products from August 1, 2007 to July 31, 2008.
