Vietnamese Tourism Culture Festivals in Japan, RoK nearing

VGP - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoàng Tuấn Anh will lead a Vietnamese delegation to the Tourism Culture Festivals in Japan and the Republic of Korea from June 22-27.

June 17, 2010 5:16 PM GMT+7

The festivals aim to promote Vietnamese culture, tourism and gastronomy, the 1000th founding anniversary of Thăng Long–Hà Nội, and campaign for Hạ Long Bay as a new world wonder.

The host and guest ministers of tourism and culture will meet at the festivals to discuss preparations for culture and tourism cooperation programs in 2010.

The festival in Japan, to take place in Ginza, Tokyo, includes exhibitions showcasing Vietnamese cultural and tourist products, several cultural exchange activities between the two countries such as taking photos with áo dài (Vietnamese traditional dress), an áo dài performance, and a nem (spring-roll) making contest.

One hundred big posters about the 1000th founding anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội will be shown at 45 subways in Tokyo in order to attract Japanese tourists to the festival.

The Culture and Tourism Festival in the Republic of Korea is featured with the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between Minister Hoàng Tuấn Anh and his Korean counterpart.

Japan and the Republic of Korea are Việt Nam’s leading tourism markets.
