Vietnamese PM receives Lao, Japanese guests

VGP - While receiving Mr. Phouphet Khamphounvong, Governor of the State Bank of Laos, on December 4 in Hà Nội, Vietnamese PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng said that he wanted the central banks of the two countries to strengthen cooperation and share experience.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that, on the basis of special traditional friendship between Việt Nam and Laos, the mutual help and cooperation between the State Bank of Việt Nam and the State Bank of Laos, as well as among commercial banks of the two countries, have vigorously flourished, bringing about positive results.

He welcomed the outcomes of the talks between the Governors of the two central banks, and proposed the two sides quickly implement deals reached during the talks.

Mr. Phouphet Khamphounvong thanked the State Bank of Việt Nam for helping the State Bank of Laos in training staff and bettering services. He pledged that the two central banks will foster cooperation in the coming time.

On the same day, while hosting a reception to Chairman Mitarai Fujio of the Japan Business Federation (JBF), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng applauded the role of the JBF in expanding and strengthening economic exchanges between Việt Nam and Japan. 

Việt Nam is on its path to perfect the domestic investment climate in favor of foreign investors, including Japanese businesses, said the Government chief.

The JBF Chairman informed that during their working visit to Asia, including Việt Nam, the Japanese businesses want to attain experience of tackling economic recession on the basis of four pillars, namely regional integration, infrastructure construction, medium and long term capital sources for infrastructure development, and closer regional ties.
