VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed in principle on December 29 that the National Political Publishing House will print and publish The History of the Vietnamese Government 1945-2005 with its own budget.

December 31, 2006 1:30 PM GMT+7

The Deputy PM assigned the Ministry of Internal Affairs to work with the Publisher on requirements regarding the print and publication of the book and royalties for editing and revisions in its future reprints.

It has been known that other relevant documents such as the three-volume History of the Vietnamese Government (Vol. 1: From 1945 to December 1955; Vol. 2: From December 1955 to July 1976; and Vol. 3: From July 1976 to early 2005); the 5-volume Chronicles of the Government; the photo book History of the Government and a film with the same title have also been approved to publish in installments. This is the first book of its kind to be complied in Vietnam, setting sights into the Vietnamese Government’s structure and performance over the past 60 years with lessons learnt for better administration of the Vietnamese Government and as a result, contributing to building a more powerful Socialist Republic of Vietnam. It is also an official resource for research, teaching and learning in Vietnam.
