Vietnamese Food get Asian Record

VGP – The Asian Record’s Organization (ARO) is about to grant certificates recognizing some Ha Noi dishes for their meeting Asian culinary values.

The dishes to be recognized as Asian records include Pho (noodle), Bun Cha (noodle and barbecue pork) and Bun Thang (Thang noodle).

Early 2013, ARO announced the list of 12 popular Vietnamese dishes include Pho (noodle), bun cha (barbecue pork), bun thang (Thang noodle), banh da cua Hai Phong (Hai Phong fried crab meat with vermicelli), com chay Ninh Bnh (Ninh Binh crispy rice cracker), mien luon Nghe An (Nghe An eel cassava vermicelli), pho kho Gia Lai (Gia Lai dry noodle),  banh khọt Vung Tau (Vung Tau small shrimp fried pancake), goi cuon Sai Gon (Saigon spring roll), com tam Sai Gon (Saigon broken rice), bun bo Hue (Hue spicy beef noodle soup), Mi Quang (Quang noodle), three of which are from Ha Noi.

The food record title for the three dishes will be awarded in the opening ceremony of Traditional Craft Village Tourism Festival and Red River Delta Area 2013 on October 8 in Ha Noi.

Since 2010, Viet Nam Record Organization has been promoting Vietnamese cuisine and specialties, seeking cuisine records, and recommending to international organizations, which contributes to popularizing its cuisine. Accordingly, among 57 countries, Viet Nam has 12 dishes named in the "Top Asian cuisine value dishes" as recognized by ARO.
