The agreement provides a legal foundation for the two sides to conduct cooperative activities in the future.

The two legislatures will intensify information exchanges on work procedures of each body as well as laws and materials to keep lawmakers informed in line with legal regulations of each side.

In addition, they will also step up experience sharing in administrative and financial management, discuss international issues of mutual concern, and enhance coordination at regional and international parliamentary organizations, such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

Specialized conferences and workshops on issues of mutual concern will also be held by the two legislatures.

On the same day, NPC Chairman Dejiang hosted a banquet for the Vietnamese guest and his entourage.

As scheduled, on December 25, NA Chairman Hung and his entourage will leave Beijing for Hunan Province.
