VA plans to operate five flights per week on every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday along the route, using Airbus A321.

Japan and the Kansai region are important markets in the carrier’s plan on air route development, said Mr. Phạm Ngọc Minh, President and CEO of Vietnam Airlines.

The direct route Hà Nội–Osaka is the fourth one from the capital city of Việt Nam to Japan and the eighth one between the two countries.

VA is exploiting other direct routes to Japan via destinations in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

Through the launching of the latest air route, VA can provide 33 flights per week to Japan.

The carrier has occupied 50% of market share for direct routes between Việt Nam and Japan.
