Viet Nam reports 50th Coronavirus-related death

VGP – The Ministry of Health reported 50th death related to COVID-19 on Friday afternoon.

The latest death is a 67-year-old man from Giao Thuy district of the northern province of Nam Dinh.

He has suffered from stage 4 lung cancer and undergone radiation therapy several times at the national cancer hospital in Ha Noi.

On April 22, the man was admitted to the national cancer hospital where he was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma.

On May 5, he was taken to a quarantine site in Ha Noi’s Nam Tu Liem district after authorities detected a COVID-19 outbreak at the hospital.

On May 14, he tested positive for COVID-19 and was transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh district.

He began to experience respiratory failure, septic shock, and multi-organ failure on the subsequent days and passed away on June 3.

This is the 15th COVID-19-related death since May 15./.
