Viet Nam reports 19 more recoveries from COVID-19

VGP – An addition of 19 more COVID-19 patients were declared fully recovered at the Ha Noi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on Tuesday afternoon, including 18 returning from Equatorial Guinea and one returnee from Bangladesh.

All the patients have tested negative for the novel coronavirus at least three times, and are now in stable health conditions without signs of fever, cough and shortness of breath.

After their hospital discharge, these patients will undergo home quarantine and health monitoring four the next 14 days.

So far, Viet Nam has confirmed 983 COVID-19 cases, including 645 domestic infections. The number of new cases linked to the outbreak in Da Nang has climbed to 505 since July 25.

More than 87,670 people having close contact or entering from pandemic-hit areas are being quarantined at hospitals (3,395), concentrated quarantine establishments (24,511), and home and accommodations (59,766). As many as 25 fatalities have been reported in the country.
