This is the fifth time Viet Nam has joined the event, which is held every two years. This year, it attracts the attendance of 6,300 businesses and is expected to welcome 150,000 visitors all over the world.

Last year, Viet Nam earned US$27.5 billion from exporting farm produce and seafood products to the European market and this year’s revenues are forecast to jump to over US$30 billion.

In the first nine months of this year, the country's revenues exceeded US$22.6 billion.

SIAL Paris, the world’s largest food innovation trade show, is a vitally important gateway for agricultural produce to get a foothold in the European market.
