Viet Nam Reports Three New COVID-19 Cases
VGP – Three Vietnamese repatriated from Japan were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning, raising the national caseload to 2,696.

They flew from Japan to Viet Nam on April 9 and have been quarantined and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.
Of the national patient tally, 1,570 are community infection cases, including 910 documented since January 27 when the third wave of local transmissions began.
Ten provinces and cites have gone 58 days without local infections including Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Binh Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Gia Lai, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and HCMC.
Ha Noi and Hai Phong reported zero local transmission over the past 55 days and 48 days, respectively.
According to the Treatment Subcommittee under the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, a total of 2,429 patients have been successfully cured, while the death toll related to the disease remained at 35.
To live safely with the pandemic, the Ministry of Health advised people to remain proactive in pandemic prevention and control by continuing to wear face masks when going out, disinfecting frequently, maintaining a safe distance, refraining from mass gatherings, and making medical declarations./.
