With four conferences and a high-level policy dialogue included, the VEF 2019 is expected to welcome more than 2,000 participants from the Party, Government, policymakers, economists, academics, businesses and international organizations.

The VEF is held with the expectation of providing a valuable and timely exchange platform for various stakeholders including the Party, Government, policymakers, academics, businesses and international organizations to present, discuss and debate visionary initiatives, practices and trends for sustainable economic development.

The second Viet Nam Economic Forum 2018, themed “Fast and sustainable development: new challenges and momentums,” brought together nearly 1,500 domestic and international economic experts and scholars.

In 2018, Viet Nam’s GDP growth reached 7.08%, the highest figure over the recent decade. The nation enjoyed the trade surplus of US$7.2 billion. A total number of 131,275 new firms were set up in 2018 with the total registered capital of VND1.478 trillion.
