Vice State President visits Switzerland

VNGOP - Vice State President Trương Mỹ Hoa and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, began an official visit to Switzerland on June 12.

In Geneva, Vice State President Trương Mỹ Hoa conferred the First-grade Labor Medal on Vietnam's resident delegation to the United Nations and other international organizations based in Geneva and the Second-grade Labor Medal on Ambassador Ngô Quang Xuân for their contributions to the negotiations on Vietnam's accession to WTO.

In the cordial meeting with overseas Vietnamese in Switzerland, the Vice President stressed that the overseas Vietnamese community in Switzerland as well as in other parts of the world is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. The overseas Vietnamese expressed their desire that the State and Government will accelerate the application of visa exemption, granting citizenship and facilitating housing purchase for overseas Vietnamese.

On June 13, Vice State President Trương Mỹ Hoa and her entourage will visit Bern, the capital city of Switzerland, where she is scheduled to meet with Swiss leaders.
