Vice State President at women's summit

VNGOP - The 17th Global Summit of Women was opened on June 14 in Berlin (Germany). The Vietnamese delegation was headed by Vice State President Trương Mỹ Hoa.

Vice President Trương Mỹ Hoa delivers speech at the Summit

The Summit entitled "International Market: Challenges and Opportunities" attracted around 1,000 delegates from 95 economies.

Addressing at the opening ceremony, Vice President Trương Mỹ Hoa affirmed that women are increasingly taken part in business activities as well as political, social and cultural fields. With their dynamic and ability to grasp chances, women play a significant role in the success of many businesses. The Vietnamese Vice President also showed her support to all goals to 2015 set by the world women movement for gender equality.

She emphasized that Vietnamese women are always highly valued. Some big international organizations have assessed Vietnam one of the world's leading countries in terms of gender equality. Vice President Trương Mỹ Hoa also said that Vietnam is willing to host the 18th Global Summit of Women.

Before attending the Summit, Vice President Trương Mỹ Hoa had attended a Vietnam-Germany Business Forum in Berlin and some important events. The forum was attended by 50 Vietnamese and nearly 100 German businesses. Addressing the forum, Vice President Trương Mỹ Hoa asserted that the trade and economic ties between Vietnam and Germany are not corresponding to the two countries' potential and friendship. Vietnam attaches a great importance to the relationship with Germany, one of the three top economies in the world, said the Vice President. She expressed her desire to welcome more German investors to Vietnam.
