Vegetable, fruit exports pick up in ten months
VGP – Viet Nam earned about US$ 2.84 billion from shipping vegetables and fruits abroad in the first ten months of 2017, representing a year-on-year growth of 41.2%, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) reported.

In the first nine months, China, Japan, the U.S., and the Republic of Korea were the four largest importers of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables by importing US$ 2.15 billion; US$ 102 million; US$ 82 million; and US$ 73 million, respectively.
China was the dominant import market of Viet Nam’s fruits and vegetables.
Japan, UAE, and China posted robustly rising import turnovers of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables, expanding 66.1%; 58%, and 53.1%, respectively.
On the other hand, Viet Nam imported US$ 96 million of fruits and vegetables in October and US$ 1.25 billion in the first ten months, representing a year-on-year surge of 70.8%./.
