VN-sponsored projects promoting education in Laos inaugurated

The projects have been launched within the agreement on cooperative plan between the two Governments in the 2016-2020 phase and the agreement between the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports, said Director of the management board under the Ministry of Education and Training Tran Thanh Khiet. 

Lao Deputy Minister of Education and Sports BoualienSilipanya affirmed that the Lao side regards these four projects are invaluable presents of the Vietnamese Government for the education and sports development of Laos. 

The projects are considered as the symbol of the cooperation between the two ministries, he said, adding that the school will use the projects effectively in the upcoming time. 

These four projects include the project on upgrading the dormitory for foreign students at the National University of Laos worth more than VND40 billion, Viet Nam-Laos friendship high school valued VND20.5 billion, projects on teaching Vietnamese at  Suphanuvong University and Champasak University worth more than VND50.8 billion.
