VN's high-ranking defense delegation to visit Singapore

VGP - A high-ranking delegation of Viet Nam's Ministry of National Defense, led by Defense Minister Phan Van Giang is paying an official visit to Singapore from February 28 to March 2.

Sen. Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang – member of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission’s standing board, Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army, and Deputy Minister of National Defence

The visit, made at the invitation of Chief of the Defence Force of Singapore Melvyn Ong, aims to step up bilateral exchanges and discuss defense cooperation between Viet Nam and Singapore in the time to come, contributing to reinforcing and realizing strategic partnerships between the two countries.

In addition, the both sides are set to share experience in military building, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. International and regional issues of shared concern will also be raised for discussion.

The delegation is led by Sen. Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang – member of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission’s standing board, Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army, and Deputy Minister of National Defence.
