The activity was held within the working visit of Latvian FM Edgars Rinkevics to Viet Nam to enhance cooperation between the two nations’ enterprises.

The two nations set up diplomatic ties in 1992. The two sides have promoted cooperative relations at international forums, particularly the United Nations and the Asia-Europe Meeting.

Viet Nam is the largest trade partner of Latvia in Southeast Asia with the two-way trade value of US$186.1 million in 2018.

Viet Nam mainly exported agricultural and aquatic products, wooden furniture, garments and footwear to Latvia, gaining US$177.7 million.

At the forum, representatives of the two sides introduced information on market and business connectivity for the two nations’ enterprises operating in information technology, wood processing, pharmacy, marketing and consultancy.

Speaking at the event, representatives of the VCCI referred to huge opportunities in trade and investment potentials between the two nations.

The organization of the forum is expected to create connectivity for the two sides’ businesses to enhance trade in the upcoming time.
