PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng made the statement on March 16 at his reception for Lao Deputy PM and FM Thongloun Sisulit. The Lao official is currently in a working visit to Việt Nam where he will co-host the 6th exchange conference for the two countries’ foreign ministers.

The two sides applauded developments in the two nations’ cooperative relations to mark the Việt Nam-Laos Friendship Year 2012 and the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The PM hoped that the two countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs will strengthen cooperative activities to promote bilateral relations in all fields as well as boost cooperative relations of Việt Nam and Laos in ASEAN.

Việt Nam is also ready to support Laos in hosting international meetings, PM Dũng asserted.

Mr. Thongloun Sisulit said he expects Việt Nam will continue sharing experience with Laos in socio-economic development and establishment, proposing the two sides enhance exchange activities at all levels.
