VND 1.8 trillion to upgrade central hospitals
VNGOP – The Ministry of Health just completed the draft plan to enlarge and upgrade central hospitals with a total capital of VND 1,800 billion.
The plan gives priority to hospitals specializing in infectious diseases and overloaded clinics.
The Ministry of Health will set up a proper mechanism to encourage and create the most favorable conditions for the development of private hospitals, so that up to 2010, all provinces will have at least two private sick-beds per 10,000 people.
Provinces are required to design their own plans to meet people’s demand for medical treatment.
