VN-Cuba Friendship Association has new Chairwoman

Politburo member, Head of the Mass Mobilization Commission of the Party Central Committee Truong Thi Mai (L) has become Chairwoman of the Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Association

The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Association held a ceremony on May 24 to announce the new Chairwoman of the Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Association in the 2013-2018 phase.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Chairwoman said she expects the close coordination between the VUFO and the Viet Nam - Cuba Friendship Association to fulfill future tasks.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former Chairwoman of the Viet Nam - Cuba Friendship Association, expressed her hope that the new Chairwoman will make more contributions to Viet Nam-Cuba friendship relations.

Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Herminio López Díaz expected the Embassy and the Association will strengthen coordination to maintain and uphold the two nations’ relationship.
