The success of the meeting created a foundation for the two sides’ ministries, agencies and localities to launch cooperative agreements in the future and enhance the bilateral traditional, comprehensive and long-term relationship.

Two-way trade between the two countries  in 2013 reached US$3.5 billion. The two nations boosted their cooperation in education-training, telecommunication, agriculture-forestry-aquaculture, tourism, finance, banking, health, aviation, energy, oil and gas.

In the future, the two leaders agreed to help businesses overcome difficulties, implement licensed projects and sign cooperative agreements to raise two-way trade to US$5 billion by 2015.

Deputy PM Minh proposed the Cambodian side create a legal framework for Vietnamese investors, especially the right of land use.

The two sides affirmed their determination to complete border landmark planting for a peaceful and sustainable border.

The two sides were also unanimous in guaranteeing legitimate rights of their citizens when residing or doing business in their respective countries.

The two leaders signed the minutes of the meeting, agreeing to hold the 14th meeting in 2015.
