VN-Argentina signed agreement on electricity cooperation
VGP – PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power), a subsidiary of the Việt Nam Oil and Gas Group, and Argentina’s Industrias Metalurgica Pescarmona S.A.I.C.y F (IMPSA) on September 30 signed an detailed agreement on producing and developing hydro and wind power projects in Việt Nam.

According to the agreement, PV Power and IMPSA will set up a joint venture to produce and trade hydro and wind electricity equipment; develop and manage the projects in this field; provide maintenance and repair services for the hydro and wind power projects.
Earlier, PV Power and IMPSA on August 30 signed a memorandum of understanding on developing a 1,000 MW wind power plant in the southern province of Bình Thuận. The plant will be equipped with 2.1 MW generators IMPSA Unipower IWP-Class II, producing at least 5.5 GWh per year each. The project is estimated to totally cost US $2.35 billion within five years.
