VGP – Viet Nam welcomed the Republic of Korea’s new visa regulations applicable for Vietnamese citizens, which will help boost people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, said Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

Hang made the above remarks at the Ministry’s press briefing on Thursday.

The new visa policy will also help foster tourism, trade and investment cooperation, thus contributing to further enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries, she added.

Under the policy, permanent residents of three cities, namely Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City shall be granted with multi-entry visa valid for up to five years to the Republic of Korea since December 3.

Visa issuance fee shall be US$80 and visa holders can visit the Northeast Asian country at any point with maximum duration of stay of one month.
