At the reception, Bounpone Sisoulath said in the visit he expects to learn from Viet Nam’s experience in land management and use as the Lao legislature will concentrate on revising the Land Law.

The Economic, Technology and Environment Committee and the Economic Committee of the Viet Nam NA will continue sharing experience in legislation, he added.

In turn, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Phung Quoc Hien said Viet Nam always values the special ties with Laos and stands ready to provide strong support for Laos’ national reform, defence and construction.

Mr. Hien extolled the fruitful cooperation between the Economic, Technology and Environment Committee of the Lao NA and the Economic Committee of the Viet Nam NA, adding that the Viet Nam NA will work closely with Laos to effectively carry out their cooperation agreement.

He said he hopes the Lao top legislator and a high-ranking delegation will attend the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum from January 17-21 in Ha Noi as significant support for Viet Nam.
