VN treasures Nicaragua’s strong support for national liberation

VGP – Viet Nam always treasures the strong support of Nicaraguan Government and people for the past struggle for national liberation and the current cause of development.

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh made the above statement on Friday at his talks with Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Nicaragua Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindre who is on official visit to Viet Nam from September 5-7.

Welcoming Colindre to Viet Nam on the occasion of the 40th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties, Minh affirmed Viet Nam expects to foster the bilateral cooperation in favor of development in respective sides.

Colindre expressed his admiration for Viet Nam’s history and reform achievements, affirming that Nicaragua regards Viet Nam as an important friend and partner in the Asia-Pacific region.

Both sides agreed to continue consolidating the traditional political ties and mutual understanding, enhance exchange of delegations at all levels, and create legal framework for bilateral cooperation through signing of cooperative deals.

The pair also agreed to foster cooperation in security, defense, culture-sport and tourism and continue close collaboration and mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums.

Regarding regional and international issues of common concerns, the Nicaraguan side showed their support for the principle of settling disputes through peaceful measures on the basis of international law.

During his visit Colindre will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc among other activities./.
