At the Tiger Summit, methods to rescue tiger’s population will include focusing on well-defined tiger conservation landscapes.

Within these areas, scientists recommend a combination of law enforcement, wildlife management and scientific monitoring.

The Vietnamese Government chief lately requested the MoNRE to early build a national program on tiger preservation, regarding this one of Việt Nam’s activities towards the upcoming Tiger Summit.

Việt Nam also strongly stands for the Global Tiger Initiative (GTI) which was initiated by World Bank President Robert B. Zoellik, the Smithsonian Institution and the Global Environment Fund (GEF) to preserve the endangered species of tiger.

According to the World Wild Fund (WWF), Việt Nam only has around 30 wild tigers in some national parks and reserves./.
