VN to host ASEAN art festival this autumn
VGP – The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) will launch the Photo and Documentary Film Festival this autumn for all organizations, individuals and groups within ASEAN to join in for better mutual understanding among the bloc’s member states.

The festival will offer a playing field for all ASEAN member states to advertise their images of country, people and development process while strengthening solidarity and understanding among the bloc’s members.
In addition, the event will also mark Việt Nam’s status as the ASEAN chair in 2010 and its 15th anniversary as a member of the bloc.
Submissions include photos, photo essays, video reports and documentary films showcasing countries and peoples of ASEAN as well as the integration process of each country member into the ASEAN community.
Every organization, individual or group of authors can submit five of their works in maximum for each genre to the International Communications Cooperation at 61 Thợ Nhuộm Street in Hà Nội from May 17 to September 19.
The awarding ceremony is scheduled for this October on the occasion of the 17th ASEAN Summit./.
