VN to host 3rd ACMECS and 4th CLMV Summits

VNGOVNet – The PM delivered on March 21 his opinions on the organization of the 3rd Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS-3) and the 4th Cambodia—Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summits in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese PM and his counterparts from the relevant countries will co-chair the two summits organized at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, in late October and early November 2007.

The PM also agreed to found an Organization Committee headed by a Deputy Foreign Minister. Other members are officials from the relevant ministries, who will be appointed as the heads of the assisting sub-committees: Agenda, Protocol, Information, Logistics, and Security.
