VN to advertise tourism in RoK

VGP – The Viet Nam Tourism-Culture Festival will be held in mid December in the Republic of Korea to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties (December 22, 1992 – December 22, 2017).

The event will be jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea and their Korean peers. 

Within the framework of the festival, the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) will advertise potentials and tourism policies of Viet Nam; and promote tourism among the two countries. The event expects to attract 100 delegates from travel agents to Viet Nam. 

On this occasion, the VBAT will award a decision to appoint new Tourism Ambassador of Viet Nam for Mr. Lee Chang Kun.

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) reported that the two countries witnessed gigantic progresses in economic, culture, social, and tourism fields. The year of 2017 was regarded as a success of RoK tourism in Viet Nam.

As of November 19, 2017, 302,264 Vietnamese tourists travelled to the RoK, representing a year-on-year growth of 29.9%. Viet Nam ranked eighth among in the RoK’s tourism markets, jumping two steps against 2016. 

As of late November 2017, over 2.15 million Korean visitors arrived in Viet Nam, up 55.3%. The number of Korean tourists to Viet Nam ranked second  after Chinese./.
