Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang

Hang made the above statement at a press briefing on May 14 while answering reporters’ queries about reports saying that a hacker group that may be related to Viet Nam attacked some foreign websites to get information.

“This is groundless information,”, affirmed the Spokesperson.

She said cyber attacks and security threats are to be strictly condemned and punished in accordance with the laws.

In 2018, the Vietnamese National Assembly passed the Law on Cyber Security and the nation is completing legal documents to prevent cyber attack attempts.

Hang affirmed that Viet Nam stands ready to cooperate with the international community in combatting cyber attacks in all forms./.
