VN reports 8 more coronavirus cases, including 3 foreign nationals

VGP – The Ministry of Health has confirmed 8 more coronavirus infection cases, bringing the total in Viet Nam to 76.

The current COVID-19 patients include 22 foreign nationals

They are one German, two French, and five Vietnamese, aged between 11-52.

* The 69th patient is a 30-year old German man who arrived in Ha Noi on March 13 on flight SU290. He had visited several tourist sites in the city from March 13-15.

On March 15, he had fever and was taken to a local clinic before being transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

* The 70th patient is a male student, aged 19, returning to Ha Noi from the UK on March 16 on flight TK164.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.

* The 71st patient is a female student, aged 19. She flew from the UK to Ha Noi on March 16 on flight TK164.

She is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.

* The 72nd patient is a French woman, aged 25, who arrived in Viet Nam with her husband on March 9. Her husband had been confirmed the 60th patient in Viet Nam.

Following their arrival in Viet Nam, the pair traveled to the northern province of Ninh Binh before returning to Ha Noi on March March 15 when she was taken to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

* The 73rd patient is an 11-year-old Vietnamese boy in Thanh Mien District of the northern province of Hai Duong. He flew from the UK to Viet Nam on Viet Nam Airlines flight VN54 on March 9.

On March 13, he was taken to the district's medical center and has been cured there.

* The 74th patient is a 23-year old Vietnamese man from Lam Thao District of the northern province of Phu Tho.

He landed in Ha Noi on March 16 on Viet Nam Airlines flight VN0018 and was then taken to a centralized quarantine of the the Bac Ninh General Hospital.

* The 75th patient is a 40-year old woman from Ho Chi Minh City.

She left Ho Chi Minh City for London on March 4 and returned to the city on March 15 on Viet Nam Airlines flight VN50.

Upon her arrival, she was sent for quarantine at the Cu Chi field hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

* The 76 patient is a 52-year old French national who flew from France to Ho Chi Minh City on March 10 on flight TK162.

He traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho, Hoi An, Hue and Ninh Binh between March 10-16. He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

All the aforesaid patients have been in stable health conditions, according to the Ministry of Health.

Of the total COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam, 16 had been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals while all the rest have been reported since March 6.

With three more foreign nationals reported Wednesday, total foreign patients in the nation have increased to 22, including 13 British, three French, two German, one Latvian, one Czech, one American and one Irish./.
