At the meeting, Deputy PM, FM Phạm Gia Khiêm, Chairman of the Committee underlined Việt Nam’s determination to create deep impressions in 2010 when it assumes the ASEAN Presidency.

Việt Nam wants to get points in two “impressions,” namely contents – initiatives and viewpoints – and the country and people, said Deputy PM Khiêm.

He asked all sub-committees to pay attention to every detail, so as to make all activities successful.

The Deputy PM required the Protocol Sub-committee to make full use of information technology in all activities during the Year of ASEAN Presidency, so that Việt Nam can take the lead in the ASEAN Community in applying IT.
