The statement was voiced at a seminar assessing real infrastructure for nuclear power projects and outlining future action plans.

At the seminar, jointly organized in Hà Nội on Friday by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), international and domestic experts discussed 19 items of nuclear power infrastructure, including the country’s position, plant management, legal framework, State budget, cycle of fuels, radioactive wastes, radiation safety, nuclear safety, security, nuclear inspection, emergency responses, human resource development, procurement, power grid, and environment protection.

Regarding the plan on nuclear power infrastructure in stage 2 (2010 -2013), IAEA experts suggested Việt Nam nurture the staff who will manage and operate future nuclear power plants.
