VN ready for ASEAN Tourism Forum 2019

VGP – Viet Nam stands ready to host the 2019 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), which will take place in Ha Long city, in the northern province of Quang Ninh, from January 14-18, said the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST).

Under the motto “ASEAN – The Power of One,” the ATF 2019 represents the power and common beauty of ten ASEAN member countries and respective beauty in the community in favor of prosperity and sustainability.

Addressing the press conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Le Quang Tung affirmed that ATF 2019 is a great opportunity for ASEAN nations, and in particular Viet Nam, to promote their unique destinations to international partners and businesses as well as major news agencies in the region and the around the world.

The event expects to attract over 2,000 delegates, including tourism ministers, leaders of national tourism agencies, travel agents, hotels and resorts, airlines, and news agencies.

ATF 2019 will cover a series of activities, including the ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Meeting, the meeting of leaders of the ASEAN national tourism organisations, the ASEAN Tourism Forum on Travel Exchange (Travex), and the award-ceremony for the ASEAN Tourism Awards, among others./.
