VN presents medical supplies to help Bangladesh, Sri Lanka fight Covid-19

VGP – Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung, authorized by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, presented medical supplies worth US$60,000 in a solidarity move to help Bangladesh and Sri Lanka fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Present at the hand-over ceremony on Friday include Ambassadors of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung stressed the Covid-19 pandemic is still evolving complicatedly around the world in general and in Viet Nam in particular.

Dung, however, said Viet Nam expects to share burdens caused by the pandemic and help regional and international friends to overcome this hard time.

Both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the traditional friends who have maintained good relations with Viet Nam over the past decades, said Dung.

Dung expressed his belief that the Governments and people of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will quickly surmount difficulties caused by the pandemic./.
