The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was asked to propose the list of the Committee’s members and draft the Memorandum of Understanding with the WEF, then submit these documents to the PM for approval.

At the WEF Annual Meeting 2009 in Dalian, China, Việt Nam was officially selected as the host country for the WEF on East Asia 2010.

This year, the WEF sees Việt Nam as a “typical country” as its economy quickly got back on track after the outbreak of the global financial crisis and economic downturn.
