VN implements int’l convention on maritime search and rescue

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has ratified tasks to implement the 1979 International convention on maritime search and rescue in the 2019-2025 period in Decision 06/2009/QD-TTg.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Transport to work with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to review, amend, and issue legal regulations in line with 1979 International Convention on maritime search and rescue.

The Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, relevant ministries, agencies, and localities are responsible for disseminating and inspecting the implementation of the Convention.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment shall work with the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, the State Capital Management Committee, localities to research on services to overcome maritime environmental incidents in accordance with Convention SAR 79./.
