The event, jointly held by the Viet Nam Television and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aims to create a forum and a playground for domestic and foreign children to meet and exchange.

It also heads to advertise Viet Nam and its people to other nations in the region and in the world.

The second ASEAN Children Festival will see the participation of children from seven ASEAN countries, including Viet Nam, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

It also attracts children from the Republic of Korea and China.

Under the theme Revealing Journey, the festival will open with performances of children from nine countries which will be broadcasted live on the night of June 1.
