VN hopes to attract foreign high-tech SMEs

VGP – Viet Nam hopes to attract more foreign high-tech SMEs to shake hands with domestic partners, said Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue.

Mr. Hue announced the point while receiving some scholars and CEOs on the sidelines of a consulting conference on FDI orientations, mechanisms, and policies in Binh Duong province on February 14.  

Mr. Youngsup Joo, former Republic of Korea’s Minister of SMEs said Viet Nam would optimize opportunities brought by  international integration policies to develop high-tech enterprises. 

Deputy PM Hue praised the proposal, hoping that the RoK and Viet Nam would work closely to develop SMEs and encourage Korean SMEs with good administration governance and high technologies to implement creative startups not only in Viet Nam.

The same day, Mr. Hue hosted a reception for a leader of Hyosung-Viet Nam Co. Ltd on garments, textiles, processing, chemicals, IT, trade, and construction. He praised the Korean enterprises for its contribution to the auxiliary industry in Viet Nam. He proposed Hyonsung buy shares of Vietnamese SOEs and support them with capital, technology, and modern governance experience.

Director General of AEON Viet Nam Yasuo Nishitoge revealed that the group will develop commercial centers in Vietnamese cities and provinces. 

Deputy PM Hue proposed Aeon support Viet Nam to build and develop trademarks nationwide and abroad./.
