VN festival 2017 to take place in Japan

VGP - The Viet Nam Festival 2017 will be organized in Tokyo on June 10-11 as part of activities to celebrate 44 years of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.

Speaking at a press conference informing the event, Deputy Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Truong Son stressed that the festival aims to promote mutual understanding between the two countries and draw overseas Vietnamese in Japan closer together.

Relations between Viet Nam and Japan are thriving, he added, expressing hope that the festival will deepen ties between the two countries’ governments and people.

Viet Nam’s landscapes and people will be introduced to Japanese friends through various art performances, food and handicraft booths.

In addition, the event with feature many activities such as festive days, art performances and seminars on investment promotion.

The Viet Nam festival in Japan is an annual cultural exchange activity. It welcomed 200,000 people last year, the largest number of visitors to date.
