The Government chief made the above statement at reception for European Parliament’s Committee for International Trade (INTA) delegation led by INTA Chairman Bernd Lange in Ha Noi on Thursday.

A part from the Viet Nam-EU Comprehensive Partnership Agreement that  came into operation in 2016, the free trade agreement between the two sides will be an important milestone for the two sides to lift up bilateral ties to a new height, PM Phuc said.

He asked the INTA and Chairman Bernd Lange to continue efforts so that the trade deal would be signed soon, adding Viet Nam gives top priority to reviewing legal aspects in close collaboration with the EU for ratification of the daeal.

INTA Chairman Bernd Lange affirmed that he is ready to support Viet Nam in issues related to the two sides’ trade ties.

He expressed his belief that Viet Nam and the EU would overcome all hurdles to ratify the trade agreement next year thanks to their good cooperation traditions./.
