At the meeting, PM Phuc supposed that Mr. Jorge Faurie’sofficial visit to Viet Nam has opened a new chapter in the two countries’ relations and highly spoke of the talks between the guest and Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh.

Mr. Jorge Faurie conveyed Argentine President Mauricio Macri’s regards to PM Phuc, adding that the President expects to welcome the Vietnamese PM to pay a visit to Argentina.

He hailed the two nations’ positive developments over the recent 45 years in all fields, especially economics and politics.

He suggested the two sides enhance economic cooperation, strengthen trade exchanges and expand cooperation in other areas.

PM Phuc proposed accelerating trade and investment ties to raise the two-way trade value, which stood at US$3 billion in 2017.

Expressing his hope to balance the bilateral trade value, the Vietnamese leader asked the two nations’ functional agencies to organize business forums to seek for further investment opportunities.

He welcomed the Argentine President to pay a visit to Viet Nam, thus accelerating the two nations’ relations to a new height.

Argentina will receive a Vietnamese business delegation in September 2018 and the Viet Nam-Argentina Inter-Governmental Committee will be co-chaired in the upcoming time, said the Argentine Minister, adding that Argentina is willing to assist Viet Nam in football training and development.
