VN enters 98th day without community COVID-19 transmission
VGP – As of 6:00 AM on July 23, Viet Nam has gone 98 consecutive days without community-transmitted case of COVID-19, the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported.

The body, led by Deputy Prime Minister, reported that 11,597 people having close contact or entering from the pandemic-hit areas are under medical surveillance, of whom 136 at hospitals, 10,888 at centralized quarantine camps, and 573 at places of residence.
Of the country's patient tally, 365 have been freed of the virus and no fatality has been reported.
The current patients are being treated at various medical facilities nationwide with stable health conditions.
Earlier, seven newly-imported COVID-19 cases were confirmed on July 22, raising the patient tally to 408. The latest patients, who were among passengers onboard the flight IO4405, landed at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on July 11./.
