VN encourages French investors, says DPM

VGP – Viet Nam encourages French investors to beef up cooperative projects, said Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung.

Deputy PM Dung made the point on October 4 in Ha Noi while receiving French Ambassador to Viet Nam Bertrand Lortholary and Jean-Marc de Royere, Senior Vice President of Air Liquide Group. 

Mr. Dung said that the Viet Nam-French strategic partnership has been flourishing. The two sides regularly exchanged high-ranking delegations. Viet Nam and France are preparing for the upcoming official visit of the French PM to Viet Nam scheduled in November, 2018.

According to Deputy PM Dung, the cooperation in culture, education, economics, trade and investment have progressed, becoming pillars for the bilateral ties. So far, French became Viet Nam’s leading economic partner in Europe. 

He said Viet Nam always encourages and creates favorable ways for enterprises to cooperate investment and business in respective market. 

In reply, Ambassador Bertrand Lortholary revealed that a large number of French businesses are interested in investment and business opportunities in Viet Nam especially in their fields of strength including infrastructure development, energy, and high-tech.  

Mr. Bertrand Lortholary believed that the upcoming visit would contribute to promoting the multifaceted ties between the two countries. 

Senior Vice President of Air Liquide Group said that the Group has continuously expanded their investment scale in Viet Nam since 1996. So far, Air Liquide Group had over ten factories nationwide on auxiliary industry, glass, mental, electronics, food, petroleum, and healthcare./.
