VN destined for first Travel and Tourism Summit

VGP - The 2018 Viet Nam Travel and Tourism Summit will be held for the first time in Ha Noi, from December 5-6, under the framework of Viet Nam Economic Forum (ViEF).

The summit will be the first of its kind in Viet Nam, allowing domestic and foreign investors and enterprises to seek  opportunities and comprehend both potentials and challenges  of the Vietnamese tourism sector.  

The summit’s first session will take place on December 5 under the theme of ‘The need for restructuring the sector’. The delegates will discuss the infrastructure of the Vietnamese tourism, measures to attract investment and human training in the field.

‘Sustainable development of Vietnamese tourism until 2030’ will be the theme of the high-level session on December 6, with a research report from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and memoirs on improving competitiveness for tourism, destination management and aviation infrastructure.

Within the forum, speakers and delegates will discuss nine topics including sectorial restructuring and tourism development in Viet Nam towards quality and sustainability; national tourism promotion; visa policy reform – a solution to attract high-quality customers; management capacity empowerment for destinations – a solution to sustainable tourism development; aviation tourism – an essential condition for tourism development; FDI attraction in tourism; tourism and tourism service manpower; IT application in tourism management and development, and quality management.

To promote international cooperation and advertize the image of Viet Nam, the Organization Board invited CEOs of tourism groups including  Flight Centre (from Australia), Virgin (the UK), H.I.S (Japan), TUI Hotels & Resorts (Germany), Minor (Thailand), Thomas Cook (the UK), FOX (the Netherlands), and Banyan Tree (Singapore)

The event will also feature the presence of Google’s leaders of Asia-Pacific Operations and CNN's Senior Vice-President for Asia-Pacific./.
