VN demands U.S. lift embargo against Cuba

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang made that statement in reply to reporters’ question regarding the U.S.’s recent adjustment of its policy on Cuba.

Viet Nam objects to any unilateral embargoes that a country imposes on another country, she said.

Viet Nam expects Cuba and the U.S. address disagreements through negotiations and dialogues in the spirit of respecting each other’s independence and sovereignty, heading to the full normalization of bilateral relations for the legitimate interests of the two countries’ people, thereby contributing to the maintenance of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world, she added.
